RKS Squeegee Type RS in operation

RKS RS rotary squeegee
The classic RKS blade profiles have long been used in printing presses with stencils for rotary screen printing, with great success. Particularly thin-walled rotary screens can be too sensitive for this type of squeegee, however.
In mid-2003, new developments in the fibre optics industry enabled us to solve this technical problem.
With the RKS RS rotary squeegee, we can now offer a highly flexible blade profile, which nonetheless remains stable enough to guarantee consistent reproduction of the various parameters (print angle, parallelism, impression pressure and rebound capacity).
The results from print tests speak for themselves:
In direct comparison with the standard squeegees used, the RS squeegees allow higher printing speeds (min. 1015% increase) whilst producing similar if not higher print quality.
The uninterrupted contact between the base and the elastic printing edge allows this kind of squeegee to be used for extremely long periods.
The RKS RS squeegee can be resharpened, extending its service life much further than that of the sheet spring steel squeegees in use.
