In spite of optimal grinding machine technology, the necessity remains for post-treatment of each squeegee, due to the burr left after grinding. The uneven ridge on the edge of the squeegee breaks off, leaving behind a rough surface. Despite machine grinding, the squeegee then leaves streaks on the print.
RKS has designed a precision tool, the RKS sander, for the specific purpose of giving the squeegee a final touch of perfection. Afterwards, the edge of the squeegee is in optimal condition and can stand up to a printing operation without streakin.
